Global Warming sets Record of Hottest April & Climbs to 2020 Warmest Year Milestone
Thanks in large part to climate change, April 2020 tied as the warmest such month on record. This increases confidence that 2020 will set a new annual heat record. Temperatures were also well above average for the month across northern and coastal central Greenland, parts of Antarctica, areas of Alaska and the Arctic Ocean.
